The following e-mailed reached Montrealdogblog.com. It is a courtesy listing in order to help a noble Marine find a home for the pup he rescued. This pup is not from a shelter and was found as a stray. As such, please keep in mind that there has been no behavior evaluation and there is no medical history. She was rescued by a man with a big heart and now she needs to find a home and a family. Mr. Winston MacPherson, thank you for your kind action and thank you for what you do for our country.
To whom it may concern,
Hi,
My name is Winston and I have a situation. I was driving home from new
Brunswick to Montreal and I saw a dog wondering aimlessly in the
middle of a major highway. I got out of my car and rescued the dog .
It took me and 4 others 2 hours to capture the dog, chasing her back
and forth on a major highway. I called the police in the area and was
directed to vet in the area but they were only interested in putting
to dog down. I now have the dog at my home nursing her back to health.
She is an older dog maybe 5 or 6 years old. Not sure what kind of
breed she is? She is extremely afraid of people and it’s been
difficult to get her to eat! and drink water (been using a spray
bottle in her month) I have very little experience with dogs and I am
going to be leaving in the new year for a couple of months on a ship.
(I am in the Canadian Navy so I am not always home!) I need to find a
home for this dog! I want to make sure I can bring her someplace that
is safe from her being exterminated! Please e-mail me back if you can
help.
Regards,
Winston MacPherson
