On Friday August 5th, a Heavy Metal concert to benefit the Montreal SPCA took place in downtown Montreal at Les Foufounes Électriques, located at 87 Sainte-Catherine Street East. Les Productions Corsaires organized the first out of 3 concerts that will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Montreal SPCA.
Raïs (Rick) Zaidi, member of the Les Productions Corsaires – a new events production that started in March of this year – organized the concert in order to bring financial aid to the Montreal SPCA. Raïs is fully aware of the hardships on animal shelters during the month of July (a month known to Montrealers as ‘Moving Season’) and how people tend to abandon their pets. For the first concert, the doors at Les Foufounes Électriques opened from 6 pm to 11pm. The turn-out of the crowd was favourable and the music played was well appreciated. The bands that took the stage were Vice, Rusted, Virulys, Branded by Pain and BornBroken.
I was there and I can tell you that I had fun! I will post some of the pictures taken of that night. Remember that there will be 3 concerts. The next concert will be on August 21st at Les Foufounes Electriques. Our friend, Raïs (Rick) Zaidi, promises a second night of more rocking headbanging for the animals. You can find the poster for the second concert on Montreal Dog Blog Events Section.
