Easter Education from the SPCA

A message and an invitation THIS WEEKEND from the Montreal SPCA:

Over the next few weeks, thousands of local adults will be tempted to buy an Easter rabbit for a beloved child, godchild, grandchild, niece, or nephew.  And a few months from now, local animal shelters will be, as they are every year, inundated by a flood of cast-off bunnies.

In order to educate the public regarding rabbit care and raise funds for abandoned rabbits and rodents, the Montreal SPCA (5215 Jean-Talon Street West, Metro Namur) will be hosting a special event on the weekend of April 9th and 10th.

We invite young and old to come visit us between 11 AM and 5 PM to support our cause by purchasing a variety of baked goods and Easter Chocolates. There will also be a number of animals for people to see and learn about. Please help spread the word that rabbits are NOT disposable pets.

For further information, please contact Alanna Devine at (514) 735-2711 x 2245 or write us at spcarabbits@gmail.com
