IN NEED OF SOME EXTRA CASH FOR YOUR RESCUE?
You work hard all year, you get dirty, endure sleepless nights, shed countless tears and often care for animals on your own dime. We know the reward is worth it – but we also know that sometimes it can feel thankless, lonely and overwhelming. We believe the people in animal rescue are truly the unsung heroes who deserve recognition and some financial help for their rescue groups. That’s why the Guardian’s Best Animal Rescue Foundation was formed. We too have been working behind the scenes to develop resources and fundraising efforts so you can continue to help abandoned animals in our community!
WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM
After last year’s success we are ready to launch another fundraising calendar. Many local rescue-minded businesses and sponsors are participating to support the animal rescue community. The funds raised will be directly funneled into grant money for the Animal Rescuer of The Year Awards being held this year on Saturday November 9, 2013.
Last year we saw thousands of dollars being given away. Your rescue could win grant money this year. Don’t miss out — apply today!
HOW TO APPLY
In order to qualify, you must be a Montreal-area animal rescue OR near the Ontario/Montreal border and work closely with Montreal pet shelters.
** PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY: Rescues must fill out our Grant Application below (or copy/paste it to an e-mail message) and return it to: admin@guardiansbest.com with the subject heading: “GRANT APPLICATION” by Friday October 25th at 12am. midnight. Please return in .doc format or as a copy/paste in the e-mail message itself. **
A professional committee will vote on the Rescue of the Year and our runner-ups.

THE AWARDS PARTY
The celebration ( and winners will be unveiled) at the 2013 Animal Rescuer of the Year Award – being held Saturday November 9, 2013 at the Monkland Community Centre in NDG.
