“Green” store helps pets

Every now and then, it’s nice to mention people who do good things for animals in their everyday lives, no matter how big or how small.

Ecocentrik Apparel is a Montreal-based webstore that offers urban eco-ethical fashions for men, women and children.  The clothing is made from sustainable materials and produced in facilities that employ fair labour practices.  They also offer custom printed organic t-shirts and polos for organizations that want to promote responsibly.  With such a responsible company ethos, it’s no surprise that Ecocentrik likes to ‘pay forward’ it’s success by supporting a number of worthwhile causes.  A percentage of the company’s profits goes to benefit, among others, Montreal’s Animal Rescue Network.

Patsy Clark is the company founder, a scientist by trade and cat owner.  She spoke about the Animal Rescue Network specifically, ” I chose the Animal Rescue Network because I am a HUGE animal lover and it saddens me that so many animals have to suffer so much.  The ARN is Montreal’s largest no-kill animal shelter and is completely run by volunteers which I think is a very notable and noble thing.”
