125 adoptable cats at the SPCA Valleyfield

Before the holidays, you may have seen the push for cat adoptions out of the SPCA Valleyfield.  With the hustle and bustle of the holidays at a close – now is an ideal, stress-free time to bring a feline into the fold. There are still about 125 cats to adopt out before January 31st.  The SPCA Valleyfield are currently waiving the adoption fees for all cats over a year old that are already sterilized.  All cats under a year old are 50$ with a 100$ deposit for the sterilization (which is done for free by their vet and then refunded upon proof of completion).

Jessica has been looking to adopt a cat for quite a while.  When she saw the desperate situation at SPCA Valleyfield, she decided it was time to pay them a visit and meet some fabulous felines! Not only that, she ended up with a new roomie.  Here’s what Jessica had to say:

I took a seat on the floor and waited to see which cats would come towards me.

He slept in a basket on the table and didn’t even flinch when I spoke or moved around the room to greet all the potential candidates.

Finnegan has a furever home with Jessica

When he finally opened his eyes and realized that I was looking for a friend to take home with me, he made sure that I noticed him and followed me around the room as close as he possibly could to make sure that I would choose him. I sat on the floor next to him and he stepped on to my lap for a cuddle.

I didn’t need much convincing but when I picked him up and he fell asleep in my arms, I knew he was the one.

I first heard about the Valleyfield SPCA adoption drive on the news and felt that I needed to do something. I’d been looking to adopt a cat for a very long time, and when I heard about their situation something inside told me that I would find my new furry friend there.

When I brought him home it’s like he had be born to live there. He made his place and now that I have Finnegan I can’t imagine my life without him.  He is a sweetheart and I adore him.

Finnegan was just adopted from SPCA Valleyfield. Please consider the adoption option!
