The CAACQ will be at the Salon National des Animaux de Compagnie on November 3 and 4 of this year in order to present to the public a petition that targets the Communauté Métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM). The petition asks the city to establish a pilot project that involves the mobile animal sterilization units in the city. According to the CAACQ, the method of killing as a way to control animal overpopulation is not a solution when other ethical practices are available. They state that the sterilization units deliver quick results, while promoting the essential prevention, education and city empowerment to reduce the number of companion animals being killed by animal control. The CAACQ believes that animal keepers should have access to affordable sterilization services.
People can find the CAACQ booth located at the dog breeders champions of Quebec section.
