A huge thank you so far for your generous donations toward the care of the 527 rescued puppy mill dogs! The donation centers (listed below) are still collecting your items – and they are still very much needed – so please make it a point to drop by any one of them when you can!
Physical Items Needed:
Here are the most urgent needs at the moment:
- latex gloves (Costco has the best price!)
- Dawn dishsoap (specifically Dawn)
- towels/blankets/sheets
- Walmart/Can Tire gift cards
- monetary donations (see link below)
- letters of encouragement – they are posted in the lunch room and the volunteers (working long days covered in guck – LOVE them!)
Please do not donate food or dog toys from Dollar Stores – they can’t be used!
As you may have read, there have been many generous donations from corporate sponsors. One of our particular favourites was from Jamieson Laboratories (you know – the vitamin people?) – who, for 527 dogs – donated 527 Kuranda dogs beds! These beds are the best kind for kennel situations – as they are extremely sturdy, comfortable and easy to clean.
Volunteers Needed:
The emergency shelter is still seeking volunteers – but for the next few weeks, weekday shifts will be the hardest ones to fill.
